Dispute Resolution, Waivers, and Indemnification

This section applies only to disputes about your use of this website and these terms. It does not apply to legal services, which are governed by your written engagement agreement with the firm.

  • Informal resolution first. If a dispute arises, you agree to contact us first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

  • Binding arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved informally, it will be decided by binding arbitration rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted by a single neutral arbitrator under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, and held in Orange County, California, unless the parties agree otherwise. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court instead, if it qualifies.

  • Jury trial waiver. You and the firm each waive any right to a jury trial for any dispute covered by these terms.

  • Class action waiver. Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You and the firm each waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action.

  • Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ambika Law, PC and its attorneys, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of this website or your violation of these terms.

  • Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable, the arbitration requirement will not apply to that dispute.
